Will Vybz Kartel get a retrial in Jamaica?

The court of appeal in Jamaica has still not decided on whether to grant the prosecution's request for a retrial. FOX 5 NY’s Lisa Evers has the details. NEW YORK - The Jamaica Court of Appeal ordered Vybz Kartel and his three codefendants to be freed after the ailing dancehall star spent years behind bars.

Why was Kartel arrested in Jamaica?

On 29 September 2011, Kartel was arrested by police for cannabis possession. Jamaica's Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) later charged him with the murder of Jamaican businessman Barrington Burton, conspiracy and illegal possession of a firearm.
